Roblox introduces age-based "Kids" and "Select" accounts
From June, kids aged 5–9 and 9–15 get dedicated accounts with age-appropriate games and chat.

What's new
Roblox announced two new account types so children only see age-appropriate games and chat.
Account types
| Account | Ages | What they can play |
|---|---|---|
| Roblox Kids | 5 to 9 | Games rated "Minimal" or "Mild" |
| Roblox Select | 9 to 15 | Up to "Moderate" |
| Standard | 16+ | Everything |
| Restricted Content | 18+ only |
- For children under nine, chat is off by default.
- The accounts roll out globally at the beginning of June.
