After a long wait, Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI releases on Thursday, November 19, 2026.
Which consoles?
GTA VI launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not given a date for a PC version.
Prices and editions
| Edition | Price |
|---|---|
| Standard | $79.99 |
| Ultimate | $99.99 |
The $20 step up to Ultimate adds:
- Exclusive cars and bikes such as the '95 Grotti Cheetah and Dinka Enduro
- Exclusive weapons and personalised pistols
- Exclusive outfits and tattoos for Jason and Lucia
- Ultimate-only shops such as Rideout Customs and Electric Fang Tattoo
Both editions launch on November 19.

Pre-order bonus
Every pre-order, and every purchase before November 20, gets the Vintage Vice City Pack: a '55 Vapid Stanier, a garage in Ocean Beach, vintage outfits for Jason and Lucia, and weapon patterns inspired by Tommy Vercetti from the original Vice City. Digital pre-orders also include a free month of GTA+.
No disc in the box
Boxed copies contain a download code, not a disc. Either way you will need an internet connection to get the game. Boxed copies reach stores on November 12.
When does pre-load start?
Rockstar says digital pre-orders can start pre-loading on November 12, one week before launch.
Rockstar has not officially announced the download size. If your connection is slow, start downloading as soon as pre-load opens.
Prices on the PlayStation and Xbox stores in Iraq and the region may differ.
Our take
If you own a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, the Standard Edition is enough. Ultimate adds cars and cosmetics, not extra story or gameplay.
