Meta raises Quest 3 and Quest 3S prices due to RAM shortage
From April 19, the Quest 3 costs $599.99 and the Quest 3S starts at $349.99.

What changed
Meta announced that Quest VR headset prices will rise starting April 19.
New prices
| Device | Increase | New price |
|---|---|---|
| Quest 3S (128GB) | $50 | $349.99 |
| Quest 3S (256GB) | $50 | $449.99 |
| Quest 3 | $100 | $599.99 |
- Refurbished units are also going up.
- Accessory prices stay the same.
Why
Meta said: "We're making this change because the cost of building high-performance VR hardware has risen significantly."
The main reason is the rising cost of memory chips (RAM) driven by AI. Samsung, Microsoft and Sony have also raised hardware prices for the same reason.
