You can now move your chats and memories from ChatGPT and Claude into Gemini
Google added "switching tools" that let users bring memories and full chat histories from other chatbots into Gemini.

What's new
On March 26, Google launched switching tools for the Gemini app, letting you import your data from other chatbots.
Two ways
1. Import memories:
- Gemini gives you a prompt.
- You paste it into the other chatbot (such as ChatGPT).
- You copy the reply back into Gemini.
2. Import chat history:
- Export your data from ChatGPT or Claude as a ZIP file.
- Upload the file to Gemini.
Who can't use it
- Business and Enterprise accounts.
- Users under 18.
- Users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland.
Why now
Gemini has more than 750 million monthly users, while ChatGPT has about 900 million weekly users. Google wants to make switching easier.
