GPT-5.3 Instant: ChatGPT stops telling you to calm down
OpenAI released a new ChatGPT model with a more natural tone and fewer preachy disclaimers.

What changed?
OpenAI released GPT-5.3 Instant for ChatGPT, focused mainly on how the model talks.
OpenAI wrote on X: "We heard your feedback loud and clear, and 5.3 Instant reduces the cringe."
Example
GPT-5.2 Instant would sometimes open with lines like "First of all — you're not broken," even when the user hadn't asked. GPT-5.3 Instant acknowledges the situation without that kind of direct reassurance.
What was improved?
- Tone.
- Relevance of answers.
- Conversational flow.
- Fewer unnecessary disclaimers and unsolicited advice.
