Apple announced its fiscal third-quarter results on July 30, 2026, covering the period ended June 27. Revenue reached $109.4 billion, up 16% year over year.

The company described the period as its strongest June quarter for revenue and earnings per share. Identifying the fiscal quarter and its reporting dates is an important starting point for reading those results.

Where the revenue came from

Apple’s official financial statements break down sales by category. The following figures are in billions of US dollars and are rounded:

Category 2026 quarter Corresponding 2025 quarter
iPhone 54.25 44.58
Mac 10.35 8.05
iPad 6.19 6.58
Wearables, Home and Accessories 7.88 7.40
Services 30.74 27.42

Reading the rows separately shows that the categories do not all move in the same direction. The breakdown connects the company-wide total with the activities behind it.

It also provides a starting point for choosing a category to examine more closely, using the same comparison period.

Product revenue is different from device volume

The same amount of revenue could arise from a different mix of models and prices. A sales value alone therefore does not establish the number of devices sold.

An informative comparison starts with the same category and period, then considers the change in revenue and the category’s contribution to the total. Explaining the cause of a change requires evidence addressing that particular cause.

Keeping those questions separate makes clear what the figures show directly and what would need additional information about volumes, prices or product mix.

Tariff refunds affected the results

Apple reported a 50.1% company gross margin, including a favorable effect of approximately two percentage points from tariff refunds. Diluted earnings per share reached $2.02, including a favorable $0.11 effect from the refunds.

A percentage point differs from a growth percentage. If an illustrative margin rises from 48% to 50%, the difference is two percentage points. Tracking the unit helps readers interpret the stated effect.

Keeping the reported figure beside the explanation of its contributing factor also makes the result easier to follow.

For technology readers, the statements describe the scale and mix of Apple’s product and services businesses. Combining the category table with the disclosed special factors provides a clearer reading of the quarter than the headline revenue figure alone.
