App Store adds a cheaper subscription option: pay monthly, commit for 12 months
You can now buy an annual subscription with monthly payments. But if you cancel, payments continue until the 12 months end.

What's new
Apple added a new App Store subscription type: monthly payments with a 12-month commitment, typically cheaper than a regular monthly plan.
How it works
- You pay every month but commit to 12 months.
- You can cancel any time, but payments continue until the 12-month term ends.
- Apple sends reminder emails and notifications before renewals.
Where
- On iOS 26.4 and later, with iOS 26.5 arriving in May.
- Not available in the US or Singapore at launch.
For developers
Developers set it up in App Store Connect and test it in Xcode.
