## What happened
On Friday, the **US government** ordered **Anthropic** to immediately shut off access to **Claude Fable 5** and **Claude Mythos 5**, citing **national security**.

- Anthropic says it received the directive at **5:21 p.m. ET**.
- It complied, disabling both models for **all users worldwide**.
- Anthropic's other models are **not affected**.

## The reason
