Samsung published its Galaxy Unpacked invitation on July 8, 2026, setting the event for July 22 in London. The company says it will introduce additions to the Galaxy portfolio, emphasising device form factors and intelligent capabilities.

## When and where to watch

| Detail | Announcement |
|---|---|
| Date | July 22, 2026 |
| Location | London, United Kingdom |
| London start | 2 p.m. BST |
| Iraq start | 4 p.m. Baghdad time |
| Livestream | Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom and Samsung’s YouTube channel |

This is the unveiling date. Sale timing and each device’s specifications require their own product announcements; an event invitation is not a complete specification sheet.

For a viewer, recording the local time and then following information about the relevant device helps separate watching an announcement from being able to buy a product.

## Why the form factor matters

The preceding generation provides context: Samsung made Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 available in 2025. Their features explain the category’s background, rather than establish specifications for the forthcoming devices.

Samsung’s Fold7 guidance describes Multi window for running multiple apps and continuing work between the cover and main displays. That illustrates how a foldable’s value involves application behaviour alongside display area.

A useful comparison therefore goes beyond the appearance of an opened phone. The user needs to understand how a task works, where additional space helps and what happens when the device changes position.

## What to look for during the event

A photo editor may care about how a larger display changes their workflow. Someone mainly using messages and calls may give more weight to convenience while the phone is closed. Those are different use cases, and priorities will differ between people.

Each question needs information about the device actually announced. A short list of everyday tasks can provide a basis for comparison, rather than relying entirely on broad descriptions such as larger or smarter.

Separating confirmed information from expectations makes the event easier to follow. At this invitation stage, Samsung has established the date, venue, broadcast channels and general direction. Assessing the new devices begins with their announced specifications and availability, and becomes more complete with actual testing. That gives viewers a comparison grounded in their needs rather than expectations alone.
