## What was announced?

In a livestream marking 30 years since the first Pokémon games, The Pokémon Company revealed two new games: **Pokémon Winds** and **Pokémon Waves**.

- The 10th generation of the main series.
- An open world set across a vast ocean of islands.
- Coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.

## The starters

| Name | Type | Look |
|---|---|---|
| Browt | Grass | a bean-like chick |
| Pombon | Fire | a puppy |
| Gecqua | Water | a gecko |

Leakers had said the region is inspired by Indonesia and Southeast Asia, but the trailer did not explicitly confirm it.

## FireRed and LeafGreen

FireRed and LeafGreen are also coming to Switch for $20.

Prices are in U.S. dollars; prices in Kurdistan may differ.
