## What happened?

OpenAI said it is pushing back the launch of ChatGPT's "adult mode" again. The feature would give age-verified adult users access to adult content.

## Timeline

- **October 2025:** Sam Altman announced it for December.
- **Later:** delayed to Q1 2026.
- **Now:** delayed again, with no new date.

## Why?

An OpenAI spokesperson told Axios the company wants to focus on higher-priority work, and that "getting the experience right will take more time."
