# OpenAI's Codex can now control your Mac

## What's new
OpenAI released a major update to **Codex**, taking direct aim at Anthropic.

## What Codex can do now
- Run in the background on a **Mac**: open apps, click and type with a cursor.
- Multiple agents can work in parallel "without interfering with your own work in other apps."
- An **in-app browser**.
- **Memory** to recall previous work sessions. *This feature is still in testing and is expected to roll out soon.
- Image generation.
- **111 plug-ins**, including CodeRabbit and GitLab Issues.

## For businesses
New **pay-as-you-go** Codex pricing for ChatGPT Enterprise and Business customers.
