# Nothing opens its first store in India

## Where is it?

Nothing, the phone maker led by Carl Pei, opened its first Indian store in Bengaluru. The two-floor store sells products from both of its brands, Nothing and CMF.

It is Nothing's first store outside London. The company plans two more, in Tokyo and New York, with no dates announced.

## Why India?

India is Nothing's biggest market and home to a large share of its users:

- According to IDC, Nothing holds more than 2% of India's smartphone market.
- In Q2 2025 it was the fastest-growing brand in India, with 85% year-over-year shipment growth.

## Nothing vs. CMF

Carl Pei said: "Nothing is more niche with a higher price. CMF is more [targeted toward] mass [market]."

CMF, the budget brand spun off last year, is headquartered in India and has a joint venture with Optiemus.

## Funding

In 2025 Nothing raised a $200 million Series C at a $1.3 billion valuation, led by Tiger Global. It has raised $450 million in total.
