## The verdict
A nine-person **California** jury unanimously found that **Elon Musk**'s claims against **OpenAI** and **Sam Altman** were filed too late under the statute of limitations.

Judge **Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers** said: "There was a substantial amount of evidence to support the jury's finding."

## What Musk sought
Musk's expert estimated OpenAI's wrongful gains at **$78.8 billion to $135 billion**.

## What's next
- Musk says he will appeal to the **Ninth Circuit**.
