**Meta** told TechCrunch that **Instagram** is working on a new feature: **leaving someone else's Close Friends list**.

## What's new?

- Since Close Friends launched in **2018**, you could not remove yourself from another person's list
- If you leave, you will **no longer see** that person's Close Friends stories and posts unless they add you again
- Snapchat already has a similar feature

## When?

Meta says it is in an **early stage** and is not yet being tested publicly. It was spotted by **Alessandro Paluzzi**.

*This feature is still in testing and will be available soon.*
