## What's new
Instagram is testing a new standalone app called **Instants** in **Spain** and **Italy**.

## How it works
- Photos can be viewed **only once** and stay available for **24 hours**.
- Single-tap capture, with no editing and no camera-roll uploads.
- You can add text.
- Shared with mutual followers or your Close Friends list.
- Lists are shared between Instagram and Instants.

## Where
On iOS and Android, but only in Spain and Italy for now.

An Instagram spokesperson said the company is "exploring multiple versions of Instants to see what people like."

*This is still a test and may roll out more widely soon.
