# Gemini 3.5 Flash arrives: 4x faster and built for agents

## What's new
At **Google I/O 2026**, Google launched **Gemini 3.5 Flash**, a model it says is built for **AI agents**, not just chat.

## Speed
- **4x faster** than other frontier models.
- An optimized version is **12x faster** at the same quality.
- Per Koray Kavukcuoglu, it beats **Gemini 3.1 Pro** "on nearly all the benchmarks."

## Availability
- Default model in the **Gemini app** and **AI Mode** in Search, globally.
- Available in the **Gemini API**, **Gemini Enterprise** and **Antigravity**.

## Also
- **Antigravity 2.0** launched as a stand-alone desktop app.
- **Gemini 3.5 Pro** is coming.
