# iOS 27 code hints a foldable iPhone is close

## What was found
Researcher **@M1Astra** found foldable-related code in the **iOS 27 developer beta**, including:
- **foldState**
- **mechanicalAngleDegrees**
- **MGGetLogicalDeviceDisplayCount**

## When
Per **Bloomberg**, a foldable iPhone may be on track for a **fall** release, likely at Apple's **September** event.

## Thickness
The **iPhone Air** is **5.6 mm** thick; two such halves folded would be about **11.2 mm**.

## Note
This is a leak; Apple hasn't announced anything. Samsung and Huawei have made foldables for over five years.
