According to **Mark Gurman** at **Bloomberg**, Apple plans to turn **Siri** into a full chatbot, "similar to **ChatGPT**".

## A big shift

**Craig Federighi**, Apple's software chief, had previously said he did not want Siri to become a chatbot. But competition from OpenAI and Google appears to have changed that decision.

Earlier this month Apple announced that Google's **Gemini** will power the foundation of its AI models.
