## The report
According to the **Wall Street Journal**, **Anthropic** told investors that:
- Its second-quarter revenue will more than double to about **$10.9 billion**.
- It expects to "deliver an operating profit for the first time."

## But
It may not stay profitable for the full year because of large scheduled **compute** costs.

## Why it matters
AI companies spend billions and few make a profit. The news came the same day reports said OpenAI is likely to file for an IPO soon.
