# Anthropic releases Claude Opus 4.6 with agent teams that work together

> Opus 4.6 has a 1 million token context window and a new "agent teams" feature. Claude now also works inside PowerPoint.

On February 5, **Anthropic** released **Claude Opus 4.6**, about three months after **Opus 4.5** (November 2025).

## What's new?

- **Agent teams**: several AI agents can work together on one task, in parallel
- A **1 million token** context window, so it can read very large documents and codebases at once
- Claude now works as a **side panel** inside **PowerPoint**

## Who gets agent teams?

The feature is available as a **research preview** for **API** users and paid subscribers.

**Scott White**, Head of Product at Anthropic, said the agents coordinate "in parallel" and work faster.

*This feature is still in testing and will be widely available soon.*

## Competition

The same day, just minutes later, OpenAI released its own new coding model, **GPT-5.3 Codex**.
