## What happened
**Anthropic** raised **$65 billion** in a **Series H** at a **$965 billion** post-money valuation, close to **$1 trillion**.

## Investors
- Co-led by Altimeter, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, **Sequoia**, Capital Group, Coatue and D1.
- **$15 billion** is previously committed hyperscaler money, including **$5 billion** from **Amazon**.

## Revenue
Anthropic says run-rate revenue crossed **$47 billion** earlier in May.

## Purpose
To "expand compute to meet growing demand for Claude."

For comparison, OpenAI raised **$122 billion** at **$852 billion** in March.
