# Anthropic raises $30 billion at a $380 billion valuation

On February 12, **Anthropic** announced it had raised **$30 billion** in a **Series G** round at a **$380 billion** valuation.

## The numbers

- Valuation: **$380 billion** post-money, up from **$183 billion** in the Series F
- Led by **GIC** and **Coatue**
- Co-led by **D. E. Shaw Ventures**, **Founders Fund** and **MGX**
- Other investors include **Accel**, **General Catalyst**, **Jane Street** and the **Qatar Investment Authority (QIA)**

## What Anthropic says

CFO **Krishna Rao** said: "Claude is increasingly becoming more critical to how businesses work."

## Competition

**OpenAI** is reportedly seeking **$100 billion** more, which would value it at around **$830 billion**.
