# Android adds a feature to help uncover spyware attacks

## What it is
**Intrusion Logging** is part of Android's **Advanced Protection Mode**. It creates daily logs of device activity so forensic experts can detect spyware.

## Privacy
- Logs are stored encrypted in your **Google account**.
- **Google can't access them**.
- **Amnesty International** worked with Google on the feature.

## Requirements
- **Advanced Protection Mode** turned on.
- Android 16 December update or newer.
- **Google Pixel** devices only, for now.

It's especially important for journalists and activists, who are frequent spyware targets.
